ReplyDeleteDue to English is my second language much of the time I have to visualize the idea, object, presentation or simplely the expression of the people to have a clear understanding about the main idea .
As Piagest's theory establish "seeing the charactheristics of the objects present in our enviroment help us to learn about of itself" (Concept Development in Mathematics nd Science" Pag.15) I continuously try to get a picture about what I am learning. I believe that one of my strongest principles is organization. Every day before I start working at my assigments, I have to have not only a neat room, but also a clean desk to be able to think, create, write, read or whatever that is the thing that I want to do.
My second strongest to learn best is working alone, because I firmely believe that it should be more productive working alone than working in groups. Some advantages of working alone is that you are the owner of your own time. You have a better focus. You can organize, set limits, establish the information, and modify its as however you please. Maybe the most important is that you do not have to compite with another different ideologies, just have to improve the yours.
Other area in which I had a higher score was the naturalist and I am agree with its too. Because countinuously I use things to represent something else that I dont not have at the time.
Kinesthetic area is also an important form in which I process the information effectively because I have the ability to manage the space to my convenience. Others, it is more easy for me understand thought logical connections among concepts (logical).
Finally I just one add that my main motivation is intrinsic, because I do not need something material to feel motivated, only with the fact that I earn a good great and be sucessfully.

ReplyDeleteFinally I got the book. yea!.. and it mean's a huge difference for me, let me explain it to you.
When I began to learn English language I was losing my hearing and it is why I began learning it by eading and writing instead by listening and speaking. So, now after reading Chapter One, I have a clearly understanding about what we are talking about. The language in which I 'm learning something is directly reflected in the manner that I'm learning. Thus, in English language it is easier for me to learn by reading and writing as I mentioned before. All the time I use the independent reading component to comprehend about what the topic is. It is obviously viewing and visually are the other two components of the six languages that I usually use to learn. The first strategies which is more helpful for my learning is to identify what I know about a topic (background knowledge). Second, reflect and value an experience (evaluating). Third, identify the main idea (identyfing big ideas). Finally from here to be able to organize the information obtained (organization) and put it all together to draw a picture in my mind (visualizing) about the studied subject.
Also, I believe that my strongest skills are comprehension, study and reference.
Concerning to motivation. I never guide my achievements based in something material to reach them. My motivation is intrinsic because I feel motivited only by sucess and achive my goals to myself.

Here is my story about "My Dream Vacations"
My husband and I have a timeshare since 15 years ago. Four years ago we decided to take a vacation.
First we wanted to go to Cancun but due this place was full, then we decided to go to Costa Rica, based in the advice from the manager of the timeshare who strongly recomended us to go to this incredible place. We accepted and started the arrangements for the trip. I decided invited my nephew who will have vacations too. We accord to meet in the airport of Mexico City. Due to my husband, my children and me have just come back from Orlando, FL., we were really rushed to pack and go back to the aiport again. So, we almost lost the flight because I dropped the backpack that contained the milk cans of my little son, in those days my baby. We have to cross the entire airport to get our flight. Finally we got it but people left astonished when we boarded the airplane and saw us with a baby, a little girl with her little bear, a boy with two backpacks, me with two backpacks and my husband with another backpack. It was so funny to see the expression of the people.
Anyway, after we made the scale in the airport of Mexico in which we meet with my sister and my nephew, we took another airplane bound to Costa Rica.
Oh Gosh! what a marvelous paradise! When we arrive we were astonished and really surprised to see this magical place, full of nature, exotic vegetation, iguanas in all sizes and colors, an enourmous pool, a few hammocks around the pool, and everything is needed to make of this place a beautiful paradise.
On the first day we just unpack, rest and look over the place. It was so beautiful. On the second day, we took a trip to a little island in which we interact with monkeys. It was so cool when my little baby was feeding a baby monkey and when I touched a crocodile. I think it was the more exciting moment of the trip.
The next day, we were going to a precious waterfall, swiming and jumping and it remembered us as the classical movies of Tarzan in the jungle. In the fourth day we were on a canopy tour over 11 waterfalls and totally surrounded by nature and going from tree to tree during the tour. It was an incredible experience that unfortunatelly I couldn't finish due to my fear of heights.
The fifth day, we visited the famous Arenal Volcano which supposedly is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. It was so incredible feeling the sensation that it caused to be almost inside of the volcano.
The last place that we visited was Monteverde Rainforest which counted with the most exotic and exhuberant vegetation and diversity in fauna.
I can ensure that it was not only my dream vacation but also the dream vacation of my family because Costa Rica is a place full of nature, amazing views, incredible adventures and futhermore I share it with the people that I love most.

Why:
I would like to start by saying that I chose Turtles as a topic because my children have two little turtles since 3 months ago.They are really curious about these little animals. It is why I decided to investigate some facts about turtles such as properly care for a turtle, how to identify turtle species, how to determinate a turtle's gender, size of turtles, structure of a turtle,longevity, sense of turtles, turtles as pets. and so on.
What:
Thus, I address this reaserch to 2o. and 3er. grade students (the level which I would like to teach) and the purpose is that children practice their knowledge skills of reading and writing now that third grade students are able to set, support and discuss their ideas. Also to students whose first Language is not English its serve to their English language adquisicion. Another aspect is that they can practice their math skills through charts in which they can count turtles. This project has the main purpose of the study of science. Students will investigate, and collect information using tools such as making inferences, decisions and conclusions using computers and information technology tools to support their investigations.

My memories.
ReplyDeleteI considered to myself as a fortunate person because I have a precious treasure inside of me than nobody can steal or take out of me. It is my memories. I have lots of memories, someones make me cry, others laugh, others make me come alive again to those precious moments that went by, and which I can get back every time that I want. Some memories just are present as flashes in my mind but they are present in my life.
Some memories that make me cry, are every single time when I remember the love ones who pass away, my mom, my oldest sister (who I considered as my second mom) and my little brother. I can avoid sad feelings for the form in which I have to confront their departure. At the beginning I felt wrath and that I was angry with everybody, my deep pain was not permited that I understand the decisions of God.
Over time, I started understanding that everyone has a traced destiny and although it is there we can influence it and modify a little pathway of our end. But the end, God is the only one who decides our destiny. Presently and in spite of God didn't permit me to hug them again, I can ensure that my love ones are with me every single day not only in my mind, in my heart, but also in my soul.
The memories that make me laugh are thankfully infinite. All the places that I had travel through. All the places where I had live, involve an amusing, cute, or funny experience. One of this memories was one time, when I was with my five best friends, the oldest brother of one of my friends, and two other friends of his. All together went to the beautiful beach of Acapulco, in Mexico City. At these time, for me and my friends, it was the first time that we traveled alone, without our parents. Oh, gosh! The experience was incredible and amusing. One day, the oldest brother of one of my friends was sleeping in a hammock, at the back patio of the house that we rented. I stealthy took a hose and pointed it to his face, then we agree that on my signal, one of my other friend would open the pass of the water for it start running, Oh my gosh! It was amusing to see his reaction, first he fell out of the hammock and started screaming, after that he recovered and started to pursue us through all the house, with the hose in his hand and trying to wet us. Everybody was screaming, laughing and running around the house until everybody finished completely wet. It was so funny!

ReplyDeleteOn another hand, the memories that I preserve as precious gold, are too many. The main of these memories was each birth of my children. Every childbirth was different, incredible, amusing, and furthermore was beautiful. With the birth of the first one of my babies, everything was normal, but for me was the most extraordinary experience that I lived when I had and felt in my arms, the most perfect and beautiful baby that I have never seen. Nothing is equally comparable with the experience to give a new life. My second one was really complicated, because my little princess was born a month before and her birth process was really complicated. But again, once time when I had her in my arms was the most extraordinary experience to feel these fragile and little, but beautiful baby girl. With my third baby, I was really scared. Not for the birth process itself but because my baby becomes really big and I am really short. At any single place that I was, all the people thought that I had twins inside of me.Anyway when he was born and I saw him, it was not just one beautiful and lovely, but an enormous baby. I think these three experiences was the most incredible, amazing, and beautiful experiences in my life. I love them very much! So, I considered them and everything that involve them as my gold memoriesl
I couldn't finish sharing all my memories with you, because the list is endless. But again, I considered to my self as the most fortunate person in the live, because I have had the opportunity to feel all kind of beautiful, sadness, lovely, amazing, amusing, sad, adventurous, incredible and extraordinary experiences, which together constitute all my memories.
I will talk about turtles. I chose this topic because my children have two little turtles and we were interested to know more about these little animals. TURTLES AS PETS
ReplyDeleteSome people believe that turtles are not good pets for children because they are carriers of Salmonella infections, especially in children. However, I considered turtles as beautiful, fascinating and personable pets.
Compared to another kinds of pets, turtles are easy to take of care and are ideal for children. The clever key is training children in a good hygiene measures, and to provide an essential natural environment for their turtle. Then children can enjoy their pets. Although, not all turtles carry salmonella, it is safer to maintain good hygiene when dealing with pets and their habitats, whichever it is. This goes for turtles too. The golden rule specified with turtles is that children should never put their turtles in their mouths and must wash their hands every single time that they have contact with them. From the view that every pet demands at least a some essential care, I consider this principle as an easy rule, if we take into consideration that dogs demand large amounts of time, training and a lot of care.
Turtles are ideal pets for children. They are great for handling based in their sizes, contrary to dogs, who many times surpass the size and power of the child, resulting in the child being unable to control the pet and provoking accidents not only for them but also for others.
Turtles require a little amount of care and are a cheaper pet than dogs and/or other kinds of pets. The only thing that you have to do is spend a little amount of time with your turtle to give it the feeling of love that every living being needs to live. Turtles need of the sunlight too, so they do not develop metabolic bone disease, stop eating or become inactive. It is sufficient if they are exposed to sunlight one time a day, or one time every two days. Because children to not having the interest or ability to provide the amount of care and cleaning which most pets require, a turtle is a perfect pet for kids. It is enough to mantain clean, fresh water by changing it twice a week and a cleaning the tank and feeding them one time a day every day. Thus, turtles are not complicated to care for. The clever key is to provide an adequate environment providing a large lighting tank with cool and warm areas, with good filtration and good cleaning. I should also include flat rocks, a little vegetation and selected stones to help turtle's toenails maintain their good shape, and turtles can enjoy it. The thing that is most important to remember is that children understand the need for careful hygiene.

ReplyDeleteTo the contrary, dogs involve several costly procedures and demand large amounts of care, like a human baby. A dog require shots, regular veterinary check ups, operations and so on, for good health. Crates, dog houses, toys and grooming products are involved too, resulting it in excessive and superfluous expenses.
More than just to feeding the dog daily, having a dog is a big responsibility. The day to day care that a dog needs varies as well as season specific needs. Weather changes such as warm temperature, storms and snow are some factors that are out of owners' control, and dogs have a lot to deal with. Also, dogs need dental care and grooming which is part of the dog's basic needs because dogs need physical maintenance. A dog's grooming needs depend on the breed and hair type. Owners cannot forget to take care of dog skin, ear or nail condition of their dogs, so it is why having a dog as a pet is too expensive.
Although not all turtles carry salmonella, they are still considered likely to transmit Salmonella. However, it is easy to control with a simple hygiene measures. On the other hand, dogs are transmitters of infectious diseases such as Parvovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis, distemper and rabies, which is a 100% fatal viral disease and is transmittable and lethal to humans.
Dogs require a special care in their first year and half of life. As I mentioned they require a series of vaccinations, special diet , regular veterinary check ups, and owners most have to keep health records throughout dog's life as the humans. It Is why it is too hard to keep a dog as a pet, not only for the enormous responsibility that it implies but also for the economic aspect that it demands.
Instead, children can easily set control over weather and the environment that turtles need to live. Turtles do not need to be vaccinated or be summited to constant check ups. The only care that turtles need is again, basic feeding and tank maintaining. Turtles do not demand large amounts of time to take care, and turtles can survive without food and water many days, which it is not advisable, but in case the children forget to feed their turtles, they will survive. Feeding turtles is easy for children because they only need to give them comercial turtle food twice a day and a little leaf of lettuce.The only indication that they have to take care is to give the food with water which is indispensable so turtles can swallow their food. Turtle food is easily to find in any store and it is cheaper. Just a little can is enough for a period of six months.
Thus, turtles can be beautiful, fascinating and personable pets and do not need a lot of attention like their fur-bearing counterparts, just regular interaction, food , and proper environment . Next time that your are thinking of geting a pet, I strongly recommended a turtle. They are lovely, and if properly cared, for should provide years of enjoyment.
